Got a call to pick up a swarm at Sapp Brothers. Capture went well and I placed in split hive at Vineyard.

Opened all hives at home and harvested established hive
So I opened all hives at home to check them. Large Peterbilt swarm has been going gangbusters. They are currently filling 3rd deep with honey. Removed last sugar bag from back Carni.
All seemed well and then visited established hive at Jayna's Sparrow's Nest. Harvested 3 honey frames and replaced with comb.

Final 2016 Package Install
Yesterday installed one Italian package at Orchard. It was 55 degrees with a chilly breeze. Hive box which I had left since March was full of carpenter ants. Moved location farther North but in an area that will get full son most of the day. The low this morning was 36 degrees with windchill of 33.
Failed to account for enough equipment after my swarm capture so I built a an inner cover and temporary outer cover.
Alex helped install and also came today to install second Italian package. Again moved concrete blocks to place hive box on and trimmed area. Opened both queen cages and placed marshmallow.

5-12-16 Visit
Checked all hives south of town. Springfield swarm is doing just fine, with good numbers and continued brood and eggs. Gnarly hive actually seems like numbers are reduced however it does have eggs and brood. Additional hive at that location has almost a full honey super capped and ready to harvest!
Vineyard hives doing well, both Italians have eggs and brood. Split hive off gnarly hive with queen cells that were installed about a month ago from Eric's hives have eggs and brood! Very happy!
