2-18-14 Visited all hives

After an extraordinary long cold spell our ladies are still surviving. Visited today with temps in high 60's and supplemental fed them. All were active, however one orchard hive showed signs of mold on top board and cover. Even though this is not necessarily a detriment directly to the bees, it shows less airflow in this hive. Heat build up above cluster and condensation occurred when this happened. Will watch closely and feel fortunate so far with the hives this winter. However I can't get my hopes up as I lost hives late when I thought they had made it.
See link for one of the active hives from today.
