The boys and I visited the bees on Friday and did quite a bit of work. All were supplemented and I observed all hives had brood. Yeah! Just a couple more weeks and we'll be out of harm of the cold temps. It was breezy and upper 70's.
We switched around the top super to bottom and bottom to top an all hives. Our next big event will be moving to summer/fall locations and then soon we'll be installing some new packaged bees. All photos courtesy of Jackson Ruhaak. Jackson did suit up, however we didn't get photos of him in suit but he seems to have lost his fear of his first sting last summer. Alex helps out but is very tentative with the thousands of bees he helps manage.
